Luisa Puterman is a sound artist and music producer from Brazil.“The act of listening is a central aspect of ours lives”. Luisa's cross disciplinary work encompass sound installations, live performances, listening adventures, learning experiences, composition and sound design for dance, cinema, theater, video games and VR. Since 2013 Luisa have participated in many art residencies such as Red Bull Music Academy, BANFF centre for the arts, LABVERDE, K3 and others. For her, residencies are a fertile ground to dive into community building, collaboration, deep listening and research. In 2020/21 she was part of Jan Van Eyck Academie in Maastricht/NL and now she is currently working on her PhD at the School of Creative Media, in Hong Kong. As an artistic director Luisa leads OneBeat Virtual, a cultural exchange program that brings artists together to a shared online space, where they investigate new forms of collaboration. Since 2016 she also work as director and co founder of MIHN (Imaginary Museum of Natural History), a small nonprofit based in Brazil that connects sounds, people and ecology. Her work has been showed in national and international institutions, exhibitions and in music festivals around the globe.
